Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? On Episode 6 we talked about my trip to Sedona and Ariana Grande's new album "thank u, next" but we just got a bunch of video game news from Nintendo in the form of a Direct. So instead of doing a standard Thumbstick Thursday this is an extra post featuring all of the news from the Nintendo Direct.
Super Mario Maker 2 is a long awaited sequel to the game changing game which allows you to create your own Super Mario map in any style. It's going to be another huge hit for the switch and is going to please just about everyone. Super Mario Maker 2 is going to hit shelves in June 2019.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is getting a Version 3.0 update that will hopefully fix some balance issues and will also get a new character. The first official DLC character Joker from Persona 5; AND will be getting some new pokemon trainer, Solid Snake, and Simon Belmont amiibo's.
Boxboy + Boxgirl will be launching on switch will be a fun new puzzle game for the Switch on April 26th. Keep an eye on that date, it's going to be a big date for Nintendo.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is getting new free DLC and paid DLC in the near future including a new co-op mode and new levels.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is coming to Nintendo Switch featuring characters from the Avengers, X-Men, Inhumans, Defenders, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Also Captain Marvel will be joining the ranks to stop Thanos and the Black Order.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is a remake of the classic Game Boy's 1993 game. It is a completely redesigned look and feel that will feature the story from Link's 1993 outing. The game is set to release in 2019 but now specific time this may be the December game for Nintendo but we shall see.
Tetris 99 is trying to take on Fortnite in a Tetris/Battle Royale game which will be launching....oh, it's arleady out!
Assassin's Creed 3 is getting a remaster on switch including all of the DLC. It will be releasing on May 21st for the Switch.
Fire Emblem: Three Houses was the big reveal of this direct giving us lots of insight into the new game's world and story. The game is set to release on July 26th.
Yoshi's Crafted World gets a demo of the first level and a confirmed release date of March 29th
Dragonquest Builders 2 is releasing on July 26th and will continue the adventure of last year's Dragonquest Builders. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age- Definitive Edition will be releasing in the Fall of 2019. It's going to be huge! Especially with the 8 bit editions.
Astral Chain is a new game by Platinum Games and it looks like an awesome futuristic adventures and sort of feels like the combat style of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Anyways, it's launching on August 30th and don't worry, they assured us Bayonetta 3 is coming.
Finally, Final Fantasy 9 launches on Switch e-shop today and Final Fantasy 7 will be launching on April 26th of this year.
