S3 Finale- Top 10 Movies of 2021

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? We finally made it to the end of 2021 and what a crazy year it was! The return to the movie theater was a highlight of the year and there were some great movies to be seen! Here are the Top 10 movies of the year with a little review of each! 10. The United States vs. Billie Holiday was the first good movie of the year, only because January is a dumping ground for horrible movies (I'm looking at you "Music"). This movie had a great soundtrack, message, and acting. It also was an important movie to bring awareness to what this historic musician did for music and the African American community.    9.   Cruella was the first movie I saw in theaters after the pandemic so it has a special place in my heart. It was not the best film and I was a little wary of it being a sequel that glorified a puppy murderer but it was a solid film. The cast was fantastic and the soundtrack was great but the best part of the film was ...

S1 Ep. 28- Dr. Flay

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week I listened to the new album by K. Flay titled "Solutions" and played a bit of Doctor Mario World for iOS. So my laptop is about to die so let's get this train moving! Doctor Mario World is the first mobile Doctor Mario game ever and I gotta question why? That game was essentially made for a mobile device. I've been playing the original on my Switch (which is honestly the best reason to get Nintendo Switch Online) but now I also have it on my phone. My initial issue with it is the game  style is a little different, you have to click and drag the pills to place them, not dropping from the top. At first I didn't like this but the more I got used to it the more I liked it. There's a lot more creative maneuvers you can do with this game style. There are also bombs that blow up spaces around them, frozen viruses that need to be destroyed twice, hidden coins and invisible viruses, and special pills...

S1 Ep. 27- The Black Keys

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? Well it's that time of year again! The time when Jack White puts out an album and a few weeks later The Black Keys do as well to piss Jack off. "Help Us Stranger" came out two weeks ago and this week's review is for "Lets Rock" by the Black Keys. No news this week, summer blog posts are always tough to do so I like make it short sweet and to the point, so let's get rocking! "Lets Rock" by the Black Keys is the band's 9th studio album and it shows. It shows the boredom the band has accrued from performing the same style and the same type of music for almost 20 years now. I really like the ideas of some of the songs such as "Shine A Little Light", "Walk Across the Water", and "Sit Around and Miss You"; but even though these songs are wonderfully written they are not well performed on the album. The vocals sound jaded and bored even on the heavy hitting ...

S1 Ep. 2- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

Top 10 2018 Movies 10. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse - A fantastically animated film but would have better off as an television series. 9. Venom - I was not expecting this film to be this good. I was pleseantly surprised by the tone of this film and the acting. The unexpected joy I found in this film gives it the #9 spot. 8. Solo: A Star Wars Story - Diffidently not the worst Star Wars film but not the best either. Just a fun space adventure with a fantastic performance by Donald Glover as Lando. 7. Ant-Man an...

#12- Raconteurs

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! This week was a busy one with the end of the school semester, traveling home for the holidays, and Christmas. So unfortunately I have been slacking on my movies and have not seen Aquaman or Mary Poppins Returns yet. Those might have to wait until next year to be reviewed. But there have been a few bits of news and song songs to review so here we go! NEWS! -The Pirates of the Caribbean reboot (good lord, give it a rest!) will not be featuring Johnny Depp or the Jack Sparrow character at all. -Disney released a video previewing the Millenium Falcon attraction opening up at Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios later this year. -Spider-Man (PS4) has new DLC titled "Silver Lining" and features a Stan Lee cameo that acts as a tribute to the famed comic creator. TRAILERS! Men in Black: International- Looks like a fun and true to form reboot of the series. There is no indication of if it is a hard or soft reboot. I...

None of my favorites but all great choices. -Tony Hawk finally releases an mobile game for iOS and Android titled "Tony Hawk Skate Jam". This makes logical sense for the series. -Police respond to a noise complaint and then joined in the Smash Bros game that caused it. That's how you do it! -Pokemon Go player vs. player battles are finally live but I have n...
