 Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This month held so many great adventures in the likes of games, TV shows, movies, and music! Some of the best of the year in fact and some that will be making it onto my final "Top 10 of 2021" lists! So is that enough to entice you? Here are the top 10 adventures of August 2021! 10. The Suicide Squad is a weird movie for many reasons. It's weird because it's a completely separate movie from the 2016 Suicide Squad film. It's weird because 3 of the same actors play the same characters in this film as they did in the 2016 version. It's weird because there are multiple D list marvel characters as the leads of this film. It's weird because James Gunn is the director. And it's weird because in the finale they fight and giant starfish.  9. Axiom Verge 2 is a fine game... but it's just not my style. This month took us to some pretty weird places such as the TVA, the mushroom kingdom, a garage for game building, Washington Heights, and the Nowhere Generation. Here is the top 10 adventures we went on in June! 10. The Bad Batch is a solid show on Disney+ that struggles to know who it's audience is. The more I watch the more I dislike it and the more I want to punch Omega right in the teeth. The dark tones clash with the child friendly plots and it just doesn't work after 10 episodes in. 9. "Nowhere Generation" by Rise Against is not a great album... but the title track is killer! You can really tell when listening that song is where most of their energy went for this album. They lyrics are mesmerizing and keep you intrigued and the chorus is a wordy anthem that makes you want to listen again and again. It is contender for song of the year, however the album is not.  8. "Back of My Mind" by H.E.R ....

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What’s your adventure? This month’s adventures took us to 2 destinations, many an album, an awful music, and some solid video games! Just so your aware, I am traveling for the summer (and being safe and social distancing) and am informing you that I am well aware that Last of Us Part 2 is the best adventure of the month but I do not have my PS4 at this moment so it will have to wait until the end of the year to make it’s way to the Top 10 Video Games of the year! Artemis Fowl      I was very excited for this movie to release last year and after it’s 3rd release date and push to Disney+ release I knew it was going to be awful but not THAT awful. Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This month held 3 movie adventures, 1 video game adventure, and 2 new albums. Since these will be longer posts I will make a top 6 list and count down from the worst to the best of the month! With all of that out of the way, let's get rocking! 6. Pokemon Home : This video game is less of a game and more of a service for the Nintendo Switch and Mobile Devices. It is a storage service for Pokemon where you can transfer and trade pokemon from just about anywhere pokemon exist. Even though the mobile version promised to sync with Pokemon GO; we still are unable to do that. Which means that this is an incomplete service and was released too soon. That is the reason why it's at the bottom of the list. 5. Birds of Prey: This film has a lot of things going for it. The cast, action scenes, costuming, and cinematography were all awesome. Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? The start of Season 2 brings us a lot to look forward to! This season will have monthly episodes so there will be 12 episodes this season. Those posts will be much larger though and will have more adventures in each post. Monthly Podcasts and eventually videos will follow as well. This part of the premier will be a look into the future to see what content will actually be releasing! We will be looking at Movies, Albums, Video Games, Travel, and new to this season is TV series. This week's adventures took us to the theater twice with 2 new movies Joker and Gemini Man, 3 new trailers with Jungle Cruise, Birds of Prey, and Onward and a new video game for PS4 called Concrete Genie. Before we get into the reviews though, let's go over some of the news that came up this week! NEWS! -The Disney Skyliner broke down leaving guests stranded in the air for hours. The system has since closed and no word on when it will reopen. -Ginger Baker, legendary drummer of Cream, passes away at the age of 80. -Disney announces there will be a Moana 2... of course, it's the era of sequels and remakes -Pokemon officially reveal Galarian Ponyta after it's tease during the 24 hour live stream. It is a psychic type unicorn Pokemon that will be a Shield exclusive. -Sony has officially revealed what the PS5 will look like and it looks.... interesting. TRAILERS! I thought it was going to be a short day trip review to Camp Verde until my phone updated to iOS13 and I decided to get Apple Arcade, Foo Fighters released an EP, the Avett Brothers released a full length album, and there were 2 trailers and a bunch of news! So buckle up, it's going to be a long post! NEWS! -Avengers: Damage Control is a VR experience tied in with the MCU. I'm not sure what platforms this will be on but it may be incentive to check out PSVR. -The Who release a new single after their issues with last week's concert cancellations. -G Love and Special Sauce announced a new album titled "The Juice" which will release on January 17th and release a single for the album called "Go Crazy" (feat. Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventures took us to a new album by Sara Bareilles called "Amidst the Chaos" and a new movie by DC called Shazam! But before we get into the reviews, let's get through the news and trailers. NEWS! -Ezra Miller is done with playing the Flash. You know, after his 2 cameos and one actual appearance. I guess he just didn't like the direction the character or DC was going. -Raconteurs announced their first album titled "Help Us Stranger" and will be out on June 21st. -Tool is also releasing a new album in 2019 but no word on a title or release date. -Taiko Waititi and Leonardo DiCaprio are planning an Akira remake. Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? We had lot of mini adventures due to 3 trailers for upcoming films releasing this week. Also there was a Nintendo Direct but since there was a lot of info for that it made it to it's own episode (S1 Ep. 6.5, if you wanna check it out). So we will have some news, 3 new trailer reviews, a review of "Head Above Water" by Avril Lavigne, and the first big movie of 2019 Alita: Battle Angel. With all of that out of the way, let's get started! NEWS! -Hulu is jumping on the Marvel train with 4 new animated series including Dazzler and Tigra, M.O.D.O.K., Hit Money, and of course Howard the Duck. -Mastadon and Coheed and Cambria announced a tour together this summer but I will not be able to go to either show. Well I just wrapped up 2018 in a nice little package earlier today, now it's time to look at the year ahead of us. Tomorrow we will have the first official post of 2019. This is just an overview of what to look forward to on Thrak Attack this year! Full disclaimer, a lot of the things I am looking to review this year don't have official release dates so I will be guesstimating when a lot of these things will be released.
