 Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What’s your adventure? This month, I know it’s a little late, has been filled with lots of travel adventures but also a few games, music, and TV shows thrown in there too! It’s bee sort of a light month with the end of the school year but we’ll stretch it to get a top 10 adventures of May 2022! 10. “Explosions” by Three Days Grace is a generic rock album. Nothing stood out about this album to me but nothing was so bad I had to turn it off. It’s just there and it sounds like rock music. That’s why it’s the last adventure on this list.  9. “Misery Made Me” by Silverstein is the follow up to their amazing 2020 album which made the Top 10 of the year! Although this album does have some substance with songs like “Our Song” and “Misery” and it does have some thought out themes, it just falls short of a great album.  8.   Welcome back to Thrak Attack, what's your adventure? Today's adventure takes us to the many iconic places from our childhoods if every show from our childhood was about tennis. From the Krusty Krab, to the Sewers of New York City, to the sandlot where we eat Jollie Ollie Ice Cream. Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis is the next iteration of Nickelodeon's attempt to become like the Super Mario Franchise. Let's see if it worked! Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis is available on Apple Arcade so I played it on my iPad but I think it would be better off on my phone. Some of the controls seemed a little weird to be played on touch screen but oddly enough that was only during the tutorial. The game's tutorial made me think this game had terrible controls but in actual matches it actually feels pretty good!  Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This year has been a wild year and there have been some wild video game releases in both hardware and software! This year I played games on Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade, Google Stadia and the Playstation 5! Here are the Top 10 Games of 2021 10. Cyber Shadow was a January release on the Switch and started the year off with a bang! The lack of a story in this game did not bother me because the gameplay felt so good and the controls were so smooth. I loved the challenging bosses, the classic music and the 16 bit feel of this game! 9. FantAsian on Apple Arcade blew me away and changed my perception of what a mobile game could be! I couldn't believe how good this game looked on my iPad Pro and how well the game controlled. The story and world were inventive and the turn based gameplay was a perfect balance of challenge without the usual grind of a JRPG.  Welcome back to Thrak Attack, what's your adventure? This month had a ton of new adventures that took us all over the place! We were taken to 1990's UK and NYC, a magical Encanto in Colombia, a return to Skyrim and the Sinnoh region, the studio of Silk Sonic, the home of Adele, and many more! It's been a great month so let's get going with the Top 10 Adventures of November 2021! 10. Spencer is a period drama piece all about Princess Diana. The movie stars Kristen Stewart as Diana Spencer and her struggles with fitting into the royal family. Stewart does a fantastic job at playing this historical figure, the music is suspenseful and jazzy, and the themes throughout the film are very specific and deep. The problem with the film, as my wife who is a huge history buff especially when it comes to European royalty, is that some of the facts in the film are very different than what actually happened. There was tons of great music to listen to with some fantastic concepts for albums, some solid and unexpectedly great video games, and some great shows and previews of shows to come (I'm looking at you Ted Lasso and Mythic Quest!). So here we go again, the top 10 releases of April 2021! 10. "The Million Masks of God" by Manchester Orchestra is the Georgia band's sixth studio and it shows. I remember seeing them in 2012 and they were a heavy band to see live! This album shows their age and sounds tired to me. There was never an emotional payout or release to the tension the album builds up. The only song that really got my attention was "Angel of Death". 9.  Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This month had a ton of great adventures and it was hard to choose a Top 10! But we narrowed it down! This month had tons of great music, a few great games, and some solid movies and TV shows (although I haven't gotten to the Mighty Ducks reboot yet). So let's get marching into March! 10. "Your Welcome" by A Day To Remember is a decent album from a band that hasn't really been relevant for about 10 years. I did have some issues with this album such as the lack of variety in the music which made it feel stale; and the corny lyrics that were screamed instead of sung. It's not that I don't like screaming (you'll see later on this list) but the lyrics and songs didn't translate to the music the band was presenting and it felt awkward.
