10. Splatoon 3 for Nintendo Switch is for sure the best multiplayer game of the year but other than the excellent multiplayer action there's not much else to this game.    9. Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch was a fun single player game with great platforming and level design. It was short sweet and to the point and that's why it's on this list. 8. Gran Turismo 7  for Playstation 5 is the perfect racing game and it looks spectacular. I was watching a replay of the game and my wife came into the room and said "Are you watching an actual race or is this your game?" I'm sorry about the lack of reviews but this summer was a doozy with travel and family time so there hasn't been much to review but what I did explore was amazing! I also caught up on 2 movies which will not be reviewed on this list but will be accounted into the end of the year Top 10 lists and those are "Death on the Nile" and "Downton Abbey: A New Era". "Meet the Moonlight" by Jack Johnson is a fine album that just doesn't have much going for it. It sounds great and has some good songs but the only one that really stands out to me is the single "One Step Ahead". "Mainstream Sellout" by Machine Gun Kelly is not a great album but I think it's aware of that enough to make it not a terrible album. I really loved "Tickets to my Downfall" but this one just feels too much of the same for it to stick with me.  9. "Crash" by CharliXCX should have been a great album but it is plagued with over production of some songs and underproduction of others. Today's adventure takes us to the Hisui region of the Pokemon world which may be Sinnoh in the past or may be Sinnoh in another dimension, the game doesn't entirely clear that up. It's been about two weeks since the game was released and I have sunk about 40 hours into it so it's safe to say I am ready to review it! So let's jump right in! This is not your typical Pokemon game. The basic premise is still there, you are tasked with completing the Pokédex and documenting every Pokemon in the region but this time the game gives you incentive to reach that goal and gives you different tasks and research points to find for each Pokemon.   Welcome back to Thrak Attack, what's your adventure? Today takes us to many distant planets and worlds in a video game of exploring. Astroneer is a game originally released on early access in 2016 and was officially released in 2019 on Windows and the Xbox One and officially released on the Nintendo Switch today. The game focuses on exploration of new worlds and it is a joy! Unfortunately this is a terrible port and I know this because the reviews upon initial release were very positive.  Astroneer on the Nintendo Switch is a port from Windows and Xbox One in 2019. I know that this game works on a controller because it was on the Xbox, but for whatever reason I can't get out of the first section. I don't know if the button mapping is off, or if the way it was built on PC really doesn't translate to a controller, or if I'm just an idiot! But this game does not work on a controller.  Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This year has been a wild year and there have been some wild video game releases in both hardware and software! This year I played games on Nintendo Switch, Apple Arcade, Google Stadia and the Playstation 5! Here are the Top 10 Games of 2021 10. Cyber Shadow was a January release on the Switch and started the year off with a bang! The lack of a story in this game did not bother me because the gameplay felt so good and the controls were so smooth. I loved the challenging bosses, the classic music and the 16 bit feel of this game! 9. FantAsian on Apple Arcade blew me away and changed my perception of what a mobile game could be! I couldn't believe how good this game looked on my iPad Pro and how well the game controlled.  Welcome back to Thrak Attack, what's your adventure? This month took us to many places all around the galaxy in many different ways. Every aspect of Thrak Attack had something to do with space. Coldplay's new album is titled "Music of the Spheres", we went to Arrakis in Dune, and traveled to many different planets in Guardians of the Galaxy! So here is the top ten adventures for the month of October! 10. Nickelodeon All Star Brawl for the Playstation 5 is a Super Smash Bros clone that is even more zany and whacky. The roster is great to see some classic nickelodeon characters from all sorts of shows. From classic cartoons like Rugrats and Red and Stimpy, to action shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Avatar: The Last Airbender, to some newer shows like Danny Phantom and the Loud House.
