Top 3 January

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? Well, we made it through the first month of 2019 and you know what it's time for? TOP 3! These are my Top 3 things I reviewed in January 2019. I will make a list of all of the adventures and will mark the ones that were actually from the end of 2018, they don't count, and then write a top 3 list! I will also have a #1 worst of the month just for fun. If you agree with my list let me know! If you don't agree with my list, tell me what your list is! With all of that out of the way, let's get started!

Here are all of the reviews I did in January 2019 (the 2018 one's will be marked yellow)

-Black Mirror: Bandersnatch
-Mary Poppins Returns
-"The Fork, The Witch, and the Worm" by Christopher Paolini
-Aquaman
-New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
-"Mint" by Alice Merton
-Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes
-Prescott, AZ
-"Listen to Me" by Dirty Heads
-"Weezer (Teal Album)" by Weezer
-"Moderation" by Florence + the Machine
-"DNA" by Backstreet Boys
- Kingdom Hearts III (review coming tomorrow)

Total: 13 reviews (9 from January 2019)

#3- Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes

This game was short, sweet, and to the point. Well, actually the premise made no sense, the gameplay was insane, the dialogue was crude, and the jokes were hilarious. All of those things truly did make this game a great experience and a fun change of pace from the standard Nintendo games. The save feature was fantastic, the bosses were fun, and I always felt challenged yet rarely felt frustrated which is what I want out of a video game. If you do play it, make sure to watch the end credits scene!

#2- "Mint" by Alice Merton

This album is fun, it has some great songs, it's a good combination of rock, pop and alternative, and it actually feels like an album with the same themes going throughout. I could enjoy that album the whole way through without being bored because it's a fun album to listen to. Out of all the music out in 2019 so far, that is the one I most enjoy listening to and that's saying something because Florence + the Machine released some music!

#1- Prescott, AZ

Prescott is a small town in Arizona located about an hour and a half northwest of Phoenix. It's got a nice town square area with shops, restaurants and of course a whiskey row. The Rickety Cricket and The Palace were the highlights and also the amazing 5 mile loop trail around Watson lake! It was a fun way to spend a Sunday AND we may be going again sometime in the near future.

So that was my Top 3 of January 2019, now onto the #1 worst thing of January 2019 which I will now dub the Toaster Oven Award (because I famously hate toaster ovens). And the winner is...

"Weezer (Teal Album)" by Weezer: Are you kidding me? You couldn't even get the harmonies right in "Africa" and that song was for a joke, now you're going to release a whole album of covers which are all great songs. You just butchered more songs! How dare you make a cover of Paranoid! PARANOID?!? BILLIE JEAN?!? I may be boycotting the black album coming out in March just because this album makes me mad.

Well there were my thoughts on the month, please tell me your thoughts on the blog and the month on thrakattacks.blogspot.org, our facebook page, twitter, instagram, and youtube. Thank you so much for reading and following us and keep going on adventures.

                            All the Best, Ross

El Deafo

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure takes into the world of Cece Bell's graphic novel turned into an Apple TV+ series titled "El Deafo". It is a semi autobiographical tale of her early life and dealing with her struggles of being deaf. The series also features original music from Waxahatchee a very underrated artist in my opinion! So let's get started on our review and head to Virginia to meet Cece Bell in "El Deafo" First off I would like to say the character designs are super cute and enjoyable to watch. I love the design of the rabbits and the clean lines of the show are very pleasant to look at. The tone of the show is very colorful yet muted and pastel which I really enjoy.  Now I won't give away the plot but as you can guess from the title and the poster that this is the story of how Cece lost her hearing. It is great to see a story for children addressing this topic for them to understand the issue

POKEMON SWORD AND SHIELD LEAKS!!!

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD DO NO READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS! Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure is not a traditional adventure. In 2 weeks Pokemon Sword and Shield will be releasing on Nintendo Switch and we got almost every new Pokemon leaked this week! Here's how this will go, I will talk little bit about my thoughts on each line and at the end tell you what my first run through team will be. Let's get started! Grookey, Thwackey, and Rilaboom is the pure grass starter line. it's a great line but I don't like the middle evolution's coloring. It's like green, bright green, and then brown? It just seems odd but I love the idea of the drummer gorilla! Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace is the pure fire starter line. It's not the best line because I don't like the clothes The Pokemon are wearing in their designs. Maybe it'll look better in motions but It's not my favorite. Sobble, Drizzle,

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? Today's adventure takes us deep into the walls and underneath the ground to the land of Fraggle Rock. But this isn't the first time we've been here, we remember this place from long ago and it's time to go back. A reboot of a series that ended in 1987 is just what Apple TV+ needs right? Let's find out! Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock has 13 episodes in it's first season and it's just as charming as you remember. The muppets look as good as ever, the characters a charming, and the world building in this show is actually quite good! Each episode has a fun adventure with a pretty solid through line of exploring "outer space" which is just our world. There are some pretty great jokes that go along with this too. In the pilot episode one of the characters gets attacked by a dog, when telling his friends about it he says "I was attacked by the most vicious space monster" and it cuts to t
