S1 Ep. 26- Super Mario Maker 2

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? On this week's adventure we traveled to the far off land of the Mushroom Kingdom! Unfortunately, the mushroom kingdom is in a bit of disarray, the castle has been demolished and Mario needs to rebuild it! Super Mario Maker 2 is a wonderful game with a great premise. For almost 40 years we've been playing levels designed by the team at Nintendo. Now, you can build your own levels. I know this is the second game in the series but really its just the definitive edition of the game AND it's on Switch. So here's the premise of the game... Build your own Super Mario levels in 5 different game styles, play those levels with friends, and share those levels online. Hours of entertainment, online features such as challenges, co-op course, and builder rankings, and even a tiny story mode to get you in the mindset of building courses and the unique things you can build. This game is essentially minecraft meets Mario, you

S1 Ep. 25: Toy Story 4, The Raconteurs, Cadence of Hyrule

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure takes place on three different fronts. The video game front we have indie game exclusive to the Nintendo Switch titled "Cadence of Hyrule", on the movie front we have a movie that should not exist titled "Toy Story 4", and on the music front we have the third Raconteurs album titled "Help Us Stranger". There is no news this week due all of the content released this week! So with all of that out of the way, let's get started! "Cadence of Hyrule" is an indie game from the studio that brought us "Crypt of the Necrodancer". It is a rhythm based RPG featuring characters from the Legend of Zelda series and the player is forced to move and attack to the beat of the music. As a percussionist, I thought this would be an easy experience but I was so wrong. It is extremely difficult to traverse the land while battling only moving to the beat. The issue is whe

S1 Ep. 24- E3 Part 2 (and other various trailers)

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure is featuring lots of trailers. E3 was this week so we got lots of new video game trailers so I will be doing an overview of each conference. Disney also dropped 2 trailers this week for upcoming films so I will include those as well. DISNEY! Pixar announced their next animated feature starring Tom Holland and Chris Pratt titled "Onward" and it seems to take place in a modern world where fairy tail creatures exist. I'm thinking Netflix's "Bright" but for a younger audience. I don't know enough about it to have an opinion but you can't go wrong with Pixar. Disney also dropped the actual trailer for "Frozen 2". This is the 2nd film in the "sequel era" of Disney films. I am not particularly excited for this era but it's happening and Frozen 2 does seem to be making the best of it. It looks like an adventure film where Elsa and the gang travel to

This week's adventures are a little different, there's no real adventure but tons of news on future video game adventures due to E3 which is happening this week. So far we've had a Pokemon Direct, Google Stadia, EA, Bethesda, and Xbox. So let's break it down to each section along with a few miscellaneous pieces of news here and there. So with all that out of the way, let's get into the news!! AVENGERS RELATED NEWS -Square Enix releases a trailer for their new Avengers game but hopefully we'll get more info during their E3 press conference. -Avengers directors Anthony and Joe Russo announce they will be making a Magic: the Gathering show for Netflix. There is a lot of lore and stories to explore in that universe and has a lot of potential for great story telling. POKEMON

S1 Ep. 22- Aladdin with Bear Hands?

Welcome back to Thrak Attack, what's your adventure? This week's adventure took me on a date with my grandma to see "Aladdin" (2019) and then to a brand new disc golf course in Pitman, NJ while listening to Bear Hand's new album titled "Fake Tunes". But before we get into those reviews, there is quite a bit of news to get through so let's get through that first! NEWS! -Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is finally open! But you need a reservation to get in until mid June. I have not gone but Disney has released a few videos about it and it looks phenomenal. Maybe spring break 2020? -Pokemon had a Business Strategy Press Conference this week and went over some pretty interesting stuff including...       -Pokemon Home is basically Pokemon Bank on steroids. You can link your Bank on your 3DS,    Pokemon from Let's Go and Sword and Shield on your Switch, and Pokemon GO from your                phone. The cloud service allows for your to store and tra
