S1 Ep 29- The Sum of Marvel's Ultimate Alliance

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure took me to a new album by Sum 41 titled "Order in Decline" and Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order for the Nintendo Switch. Also, sorry for the delay in the post it's been crazy the past week but we're almost back to normal life which means a blog post every week on Sunday, videos every week, and a monthly podcast! It's going to be great! We also have some big Marvel news to discuss! So let's get into it!

"Order in Decline" by Sum 41

The band's 7th studio album and it shows. When listening to this album I consistently thought "Yup, this is Sum 41" but that was about the extent of what I thought. I listened to this album on Thursday and I couldn't really tell you what I remembered about it but that should tell you enough about the album. I did add some songs to the playlist for 2019 from the album including songs like "Heads Will Roll", "Never There", "The People Vs...", and "Turning Away" but I couldn't really tell you why I chose those songs or what possessed me to add them. I think while listening to them I was nostalgic about one of my favorite albums of all time "Chuck" but the album had that sound but didn't have the same magic as "Chuck". So with all that being said, is this album going on my ultimate shelf? Nope. It's not a bad album obviously there was just nothing there that stood out to me about it so it will not be making the ultimate shelf.

Marvel's Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

This game takes me back to the days of X: Men Legends in 2004 and the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance in 2006. Now it's 2019 and we have the third installment of the game riding on the coattails of Avengers: Endgame with Thanos and the Black Order. There are three things I would like to talk about with this game and that's characters, level design/camera, and gameplay.
First of all let's talk about the roster. Every aspect of the Marvel Universe is included including Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Defenders, X-Men, Multiverse of Magicians, and in the future there will be more like the Fantastic Four and Knights. There are plenty of characters such as the big name characters such as Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine, and Spider-Man but they also have plenty of lesser known characters such as Crystal from the Inhumans, Spider Gwen, Ms. Marvel, and Elsa Bloodstone (who I didn't even know about until this game came out). Anyways, the characters in this game are fantastic!
Next up we have the level designs which are pretty basic although the locations feature pretty iconic places such as Avengers Tower, Castle of the Hand, X Mansion, and the Raft. The designs of these levels aren't much to talk about. The worst part about this game is the camera angles in some of the levels especially hallways. It really takes away from the experience especially when specific parts of the level don't give the option to change the camera but give you a horrible camera angle.
Finally we get to game play. This game is awesome! It's just complete insanity during huge battles with lots of enemies and all the characters on the team are doing their special moves and everything is going insane! Classic video game shenanigans! My issue with the game play is the ridiculous and convoluted Iso-8 crystals that don't add much at all to the characters and the insanely big enhancement web. It just feels like there's too much there and I don't feel like my team gets enough benefit for actually doing it all.
So in review, this game is a great game to play through again and again with friends picking different characters along the way! And will have much more replay value when the expansion packs come into play! The camera does get in the way and so do the enhancements for your characters but all in all this was a super fun experience and I can't wait to play through it again with different friends! Yes, it will be going on my ultimate shelf!

Marvel Phase 4

Marvel released it's Phase 4 schedule of release dates for movies and TV shows for the next 2 years. Phase 4 will be a much smaller phase in scale focusing more on smaller stories and a smaller format such as Disney+ Streaming service featuring many new shows that will directly correlate with the films. But anyways, here's the schedule for Phase 4.

Black Widow (May 1, 2020)- The first film of Phase 4 featuring Scarlett Johansson as the title character and David Harbour as the Red Guardian which is the Russian version of Captain America. This film seems a little out of place after Romanoff's fate in Endgame but it may answer a few more questions about her past.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Fall 2020 on Disney+)- This is the first TV show directly tied with the films and the first TV show officially a part of the MCU. This will feature Anthony Mackie as Falcon, Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier and Daniel Bruhl as Zemo. Could we potentially see the introduction of Baron Zemo proper in this? Hopefully!

The Eternals (November 6, 2020)- Is the first cosmic entry in Phase 4 and will feature some big name stars such as Angelina Jolie and Selma Hayak as the Eternals. It should be an interesting change of pace from the smaller stories such as Spider-Man, Black Widow, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Shang-Chi: and the Legend of the Ten Rings (February 12, 2021)- This is the first film in the MCU that will star and Asian Actor and is rumored to bring in the Mandarin properly to the MCU. It will be a fun kung-fu movie that will introduce a lesser known character to the series and a different style of movie.

Wanda Vision (Spring 2021 on Disney+)- This will feature Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany as Vision. This film will also introduce modern day Monica Rambeau portrayed by Teyonah Parris. This show will directly lead into the next film which is...

Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness (May 7, 2021)- This film will star Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch which will lead in right from the WandaVision show. This film has also been introduced as a horror film the first of it's kind for the MCU.

Loki (Spring 2021 on Disney+)- This will pick up after Loki's quick escape after the Avengers: Endgame Time Heist shenanigans where Loki accidentally grabbed the Tesseract and disappeared to who knows. Get ready for magic and mischief for this one!

Marvel's What If...? (Summer 2021 on Disney+) This is an animated anthology show that will feature almost all the original actors that portray the characters in the movie and will have episodes that ask the question "What if Peggy Carter became Captain America and not Steve Rodgers". This will hopefully get people more on board with the multiverse idea and concept.

Hawkeye (Fall 2021 on Disney+) This will feature Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye/Ronan teaching a young Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. Or maybe it'll be his daughter? Not much is known about this project yet.

Thor: Love and Thunder (November 5, 2021) Will be the final film in Phase 4 and will star Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster will take up the mantle of Thor in this film. It should be an interesting film that hopefully closes out Thor's story arc for good.

Well that's it for Marvel and Phase 4... but they did tease the first movie in Phase 5 which will be Blade starring Mahershala Ali as the title character! This is a very interesting direction for them to take but I have faith in Marvel! They haven't let me down yet! I will probably have a full post on my theories on the MCU in the near future but for now. I'll leave it at that! Don't forget to share and subscribe to all things Thrak Attack! We'll be back to a more normal schedule next week! Keep going on adventures!

El Deafo

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure takes into the world of Cece Bell's graphic novel turned into an Apple TV+ series titled "El Deafo". It is a semi autobiographical tale of her early life and dealing with her struggles of being deaf. The series also features original music from Waxahatchee a very underrated artist in my opinion! So let's get started on our review and head to Virginia to meet Cece Bell in "El Deafo" First off I would like to say the character designs are super cute and enjoyable to watch. I love the design of the rabbits and the clean lines of the show are very pleasant to look at. The tone of the show is very colorful yet muted and pastel which I really enjoy.  Now I won't give away the plot but as you can guess from the title and the poster that this is the story of how Cece lost her hearing. It is great to see a story for children addressing this topic for them to understand the issue

POKEMON SWORD AND SHIELD LEAKS!!!

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD DO NO READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS! Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure is not a traditional adventure. In 2 weeks Pokemon Sword and Shield will be releasing on Nintendo Switch and we got almost every new Pokemon leaked this week! Here's how this will go, I will talk little bit about my thoughts on each line and at the end tell you what my first run through team will be. Let's get started! Grookey, Thwackey, and Rilaboom is the pure grass starter line. it's a great line but I don't like the middle evolution's coloring. It's like green, bright green, and then brown? It just seems odd but I love the idea of the drummer gorilla! Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace is the pure fire starter line. It's not the best line because I don't like the clothes The Pokemon are wearing in their designs. Maybe it'll look better in motions but It's not my favorite. Sobble, Drizzle,

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? Today's adventure takes us deep into the walls and underneath the ground to the land of Fraggle Rock. But this isn't the first time we've been here, we remember this place from long ago and it's time to go back. A reboot of a series that ended in 1987 is just what Apple TV+ needs right? Let's find out! Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock has 13 episodes in it's first season and it's just as charming as you remember. The muppets look as good as ever, the characters a charming, and the world building in this show is actually quite good! Each episode has a fun adventure with a pretty solid through line of exploring "outer space" which is just our world. There are some pretty great jokes that go along with this too. In the pilot episode one of the characters gets attacked by a dog, when telling his friends about it he says "I was attacked by the most vicious space monster" and it cuts to t
