10. "Saints of Violence and Innuendo" by Shinedown is a cool rock song that is stuck on album that had no idea what it wanted to do.
9. "Esophobia" by Jack White is the crown jewel of the Jack White album and is the heart and soul of it too.
8. "One Step Ahead" by Jack Johnson is again stuck on a mediocre album but has great bones of a great song! Listen to the live loop pedal version and you got some gold!
7. "Love" by John Legend (feat. Jazmine Sullivan) is such a soulful song that I forgot that I love soul music!
6. "First High" by Nikki Lane is it rock? is it country? Is it one of the best songs of the year? Yes!
5. "Euthanasia" by Post Malone should have been #1 if the song went anywhere but it's stuck in no groove limbo.
4. "What You Say" by Cold War Kids (Feat. Zella Day) is one of the best singles this year and Zella Day makes the song great!
3. "Sun Keeps on Shining" by Almost Monday is the best single of the year. I heard it on the radio, downloaded it and listened to it on repeat for the next 2 days!
2. "Love from Philly" by G. Love and Special Sauce (feat. Schoolly D and Chuck Treece) is a masterpiece of groove. The chords are easy and consistent but the constant changing of what's happening overtop, the constant building on the great foundations, and some of the best hooks I've heard in a while!
1. "Black Summer" by Red Hot Chili Peppers is a song that shows just how solid and perfect musicians these four are. Every part of the song is right in the pocket and everyone has a chance to shine!
