S1 Ep. 42- Little Town Hero

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventures take us to a little town from a little video game and also to a galaxy far far away. Little Town Hero is the newest game from Gamefreak for the Nintendo Switch and the "final" trailer for Rise of Skywalker is out so let's get started!

NEWS!
-The Fountain of Nations at EPCOT has officially been demolished for the overhaul of the park. I loved this found and thought it created a great kinetic energy and brought together the theming for both sides of the park. Sad to see it go.
-Nickelodeon Universe in New Jersey officially opened as the largest indoor theme park in the Western Hemisphere. Such a cool idea for a park and it looks amazing!
-Pokemon Center store in London is open and has seen huge success! I have never been to a Pokemon Center store but I would probably spend way too much money there.
-Star Tours updates it's locations and gives names to planets we will see in Rise of Skywalker.
-Pichu will be the next Pokemon to come to Build a Bear.
-Bethesda rolls out a $100 subscription to Fallout 76... are people even still playing that game?
-Joker becomes the most successful R rated film of all time!
-Coheed and Cambria cancels remaining tour dates as drummer undergoes a heart procedure.

TRAILERS

Star Wars IX: The Rise of Skywalker is set to be the end of the Skywalker storyline and the end of the main line of Star Wars films. It is said to wrap up the entire 9 movie saga together in one big finale. With the Episode 8: The Last Jedi not seeing any sort of success, I am intrigued to see how this movie plays out. I have purchased my tickets for IMAX 3D on opening night so it should be an amazing time! I will most likely cry in this film. Oh yea, there was a trailer for this movie and it's a great trailer haha. Sorry, forgot to talk about the reason why I'm talking about it!

REVIEWS!

Little Town Hero is a new game by Game Freak that's not a Pokemon game... wait, they make other games that aren't Pokemon? Yes, as a matter of fact they have lots of other IP's such as Giga Wrecker, Harmoknight, and Drill Dozer. But realistically you've never heard of them and haven't heard of Little Town Hero either so let me fill you in.
Little Town Hero is a turn based RPG that takes place in one single town. Usually RPG's craft entire world's for the player to explore but this game keeps it simple and small scale which I truly enjoy. The visual styles are great, characters are great, and the music is super charming. Why don't I like this game then? Well I thought it was because I'm not a turn based strategy fan but I loved Fire Emblem: Three Houses. I thought it was going to be because I don't like the story but it's pretty solid so far. So why don't I like it.
I don't like it for one simple reason. The combat system is unique, charming, and thought provoking but I just don't like it. Maybe because I'm not used to it yet or I'm just not good at it but the way you have to activate thoughts and then use them and only have a certain amount points to use abilities is interesting but just not for me. That and the fact the story and dialogue moves so slow is a pain in the but. Think Tutorial Island in Pokemon Sun and Moon slow but it's the whole game. Just so much exposition and not enough actual gameplay.
Will I continue to play this game? Yes...until Luigi's Mansion 3 comes out. Will I enjoy it? Maybe. Will I ever come back to it once I'm done? No. I am so mad I had to buy it digital because I would have sold it back to Gamestop for store credit. It will not be going on the ultimate shelf. I hope this is not a clue for Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon is my favorite game and if I don't like it I'm going to be really mad actually. I have high hopes as I always do, so hopefully it will live up to the hype and we can forget about Little Town Hero.

Well that's the week's reviews. I will traveling this week so I'm not 100% sure what next week will be. Maybe something to do with my travels or possibly just Luigi's Mansion 3. We shall see what comes up!

                                        All the Best, Ross

El Deafo

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure takes into the world of Cece Bell's graphic novel turned into an Apple TV+ series titled "El Deafo". It is a semi autobiographical tale of her early life and dealing with her struggles of being deaf. The series also features original music from Waxahatchee a very underrated artist in my opinion! So let's get started on our review and head to Virginia to meet Cece Bell in "El Deafo" First off I would like to say the character designs are super cute and enjoyable to watch. I love the design of the rabbits and the clean lines of the show are very pleasant to look at. The tone of the show is very colorful yet muted and pastel which I really enjoy.  Now I won't give away the plot but as you can guess from the title and the poster that this is the story of how Cece lost her hearing. It is great to see a story for children addressing this topic for them to understand the issue

POKEMON SWORD AND SHIELD LEAKS!!!

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD DO NO READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS! Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? This week's adventure is not a traditional adventure. In 2 weeks Pokemon Sword and Shield will be releasing on Nintendo Switch and we got almost every new Pokemon leaked this week! Here's how this will go, I will talk little bit about my thoughts on each line and at the end tell you what my first run through team will be. Let's get started! Grookey, Thwackey, and Rilaboom is the pure grass starter line. it's a great line but I don't like the middle evolution's coloring. It's like green, bright green, and then brown? It just seems odd but I love the idea of the drummer gorilla! Scorbunny, Raboot, and Cinderace is the pure fire starter line. It's not the best line because I don't like the clothes The Pokemon are wearing in their designs. Maybe it'll look better in motions but It's not my favorite. Sobble, Drizzle,

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock

Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What's your adventure? Today's adventure takes us deep into the walls and underneath the ground to the land of Fraggle Rock. But this isn't the first time we've been here, we remember this place from long ago and it's time to go back. A reboot of a series that ended in 1987 is just what Apple TV+ needs right? Let's find out! Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock has 13 episodes in it's first season and it's just as charming as you remember. The muppets look as good as ever, the characters a charming, and the world building in this show is actually quite good! Each episode has a fun adventure with a pretty solid through line of exploring "outer space" which is just our world. There are some pretty great jokes that go along with this too. In the pilot episode one of the characters gets attacked by a dog, when telling his friends about it he says "I was attacked by the most vicious space monster" and it cuts to t
