Welcome back to Thrak Attack! What’s your adventure! April has been one heck of a month for me so it feels like its been forever but there were some amazing adventures to be had this month! Including travels, movies, and music! So without any more hesitation let’s get into the Top 10 Adventures of April 2022!
10. Father Stu is a mediocre movie that is only saved by Mark Wahlberg’s performance. It is otherwise plagued with an unfocused plot, poor chemistry between characters, a lack of sense of time, and Mel Gibson.
9. Bugsnax: Isle of Bigsnax is a DLC of one of 2020’s best games. It’s a continuation of the story and for those who have not played the game yet makes perfect sense and is a great addition. Unfortunately for me, I finished the game and was hesitant to dive back in after seeing the conclusion to this fantastic story.
8. St. Louis is an amazing city, especially if you get to go for a wedding! I have been there many times at this point and every time is something new! This time we stayed at Union Station which one of the most unique and beautiful hotels I’ve ever been in!
7. “Still Water” by Cut the Chord is the debut album to the next biggest rock band in the world… maybe. It’s my album! Haha so diffidently check it out we’ve put a lot of work into it so I hope you guys enjoy it! 90’s alternative nostalgia at its best!
6. Moon Knight is the newest Marvel Disney+ series that will lead us right into “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness”. Good thing too because this show is mad! Oscar Isaac in one of his best roles yet! There are little to no references to the larger MCU as of now but we have one more episode to go and I can’t imagine it not ending with some sort of cameo!
5. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is just a fun game. Star Wars is already a fun story and world to explore but now it has the comedy of legos and the building aspect of legos. It’s just a comfortable game to end the school year with!
4. “Unlimited Love” by The Red Hot Chili Peppers is a lot of an album! I am so impressed with how much music went into this album! Unfortunately, that does not work to their benefit. Most of this album is mediocre and is carried by the four of them being phenomenal musicians. There are some great songs on the album such as “Poster Child”, “Black Summer”, and my favorite “Bastards of Life”.
3. “Fear of the Dawn” by Jack White is the first of 2 this year and what a great start to the year it is! This album is fantastic and does what a lot of albums strive to do but fall short. Every track goes into the concept of fearing the dawn whether that’s about the moon, the light of day, fearing not doing enough, or going into the twilight. I cannot wait to hear the softer side of Jack later this year but for now this will do nicely!
2. Louisville, Kentucky is a really cool city with tons of stuff to do and people need to stop sleeping on it! We went for a bachelor party but it was also during the Thunder Over Louisville festival. The air show was cool and the food was typical fair food but the fireworks display across the bridge and over the river was one of the best I’ve ever seen! That coupled with some of the best bourbon in the world made one heck of a time!
1. Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is the best movie of the year. There’s a lot more of the year to go but I’m predicting that this will be the best of the year. It’s a wild multiverse movie with some great visuals, acting, and enough wackiness to go around. Not only that it has some of the best fight scenes I’ve seen in a while and keeps you guessing until the end! If you were not planning on seeing this film then change those plans now!
