Top 10 Shows of 2022

10.   Rings of Power on Amazon Prime is a great prequel series that has a lot to do in the years to come but the problem is it's still a lord of the rings show. And as you may know I cannot stand the Lord of the Rings. I couldn't care less about it! Regardless, this show was pretty solid!   9. Ms. Marvel on Disney+ is half amazing and half terrible mess. The amazing part is the representation and historical significance in the story, the messy part is the finale school scene and the unnecessary love interests. The final product was a solid show that promises a lot in the future!   8. She-Hulk: Attorney At Law on Disney+ is another MCU show that pushes the boundaries of what the MCU actually is. It pokes fun of itself and is self aware which sometimes helps it and sometimes hurts it. This time around it's alright to have poor writing because Jennifer Walters can just make fun of it and it'll be alright. But in all honesty they knew what they were doing with this show a

Top 10 Movies of 2022

10. Studio 666 if you told me that the Foo Fighters would be releasing a horror comedy movie this year I wouldn't believe you but they absolutely did. Was it a great movie? No. Was it fun? Yes. And due to me seeing them live the week before at Innings Festival and Taylor Hawkins passing away a week later this made the list. You're welcome Taylor.    9. Chip n' Dale: Rescue Rangers on Disney+ is the most insane movie released this year (yes even after the last one on the list) but there were so many references and great jokes that it had to make the list. The voice cast, concept, and amount of references are unbelievable and make this movie good enough for the list.    8. Elvis was a wild ride of a movie. The main two cast members drive this movie with the twists and turns in these two's relationship which is ultimately what the movie is about. Although it's about Elvis and his music it's really about The Colonel. The cinematography is wild in this movie thoug

Top 10 Video Games of 2022

10. Splatoon 3 for Nintendo Switch is for sure the best multiplayer game of the year but other than the excellent multiplayer action there's not much else to this game.    9. Kirby and the Forgotten Land for the Nintendo Switch was a fun single player game with great platforming and level design. It was short sweet and to the point and that's why it's on this list. 8. Gran Turismo 7  for Playstation 5 is the perfect racing game and it looks spectacular. I was watching a replay of the game and my wife came into the room and said "Are you watching an actual race or is this your game?" It looks that good!   7.  Strange Horticulture for Nintendo Switch is a cozy little game about collecting plants and helping people out. It's part visual novel part mystery and part puzzle game. The aesthetic is fantastic as well.   6. Pokemon Legends Arceus for the Nintendo Switch was the first time I felt that the Pokemon series was evolving and it was a test run for generatio

Top 10 Songs of 2022

10. "Saints of Violence and Innuendo" by Shinedown is a cool rock song that is stuck on album that had no idea what it wanted to do.   9. "Esophobia" by Jack White is the crown jewel of the Jack White album and is the heart and soul of it too.   8. "One Step Ahead" by Jack Johnson is again stuck on a mediocre album but has great bones of a great song! Listen to the live loop pedal version and you got some gold!   7. "Love" by John Legend (feat. Jazmine Sullivan) is such a soulful song that I forgot that I love soul music! 6. "First High" by Nikki Lane is it rock? is it country? Is it one of the best songs of the year? Yes! 5. "Euthanasia" by Post Malone should have been #1 if the song went anywhere but it's stuck in no groove limbo.   4. "What You Say" by Cold War Kids (Feat. Zella Day) is one of the best singles this year and Zella Day makes the song great!   3. "Sun Keeps on Shining" by Almost

Top 10 Albums of 2022

10. "Dance Fever" by Florence + The Machine is not an album made for me but I still enjoyed it, although not as much as her previous albums, but again this is not an album intended for me.  9. "Entering Heaven Alive" by Jack White is his second album released this year and although it was a nice change of pace of the hard hitting first album it didn't have the same thematic through lines as the first one.  8. "Dawn FM" by The Weeknd a great concept for an album with some great tunes and special guests (including Jim Carey) but unfortunately did not scratch the itch of new music for long.  7. "Twelve Carat Toothache" by Post Malone what a great surprise album during the summer! I was generally surprised to see that his new album released and that it was actually pretty good!   6. "Denim & Diamonds" by Nikki Lane is another surprise album that I did not intend to be in on this list but here it is! Nikki Lane is one of the fe
